Christmas Weekend Recap
I'm back at work. Through a combination of holiday and vacation days, I had all of last week off of work. It was lovely, and I'm not exactly thrilled at being back! Ah well, gotta keep catfood on the table somehow.

If you missed my An Ode to Christmas post from last week, the one with the santa candle, go back and read it. Please? I worked hard on it, and I hope you will enjoy it. Consider it my Christmas present to you.

Other random things you may have missed from the weekend: my second annual LJ caroling! (2004, 2003) Why go outside and freeze, when you can carol from the comfort of your telephone? Also, my virtual holiday card.

In less redundant news, my Christmas weekend was wonderful! I spent most of my time at my mom's house, admiring my nephew. He is positively hilarious, and incredibly cute. It was great having my whole immediate family together again in the house we grew up in. Probably for the last time, because as soon as my parents find a buyer for the family home they are moving to Chicago.

Yesterday I said goodbye to Bro and his family, gave my nephew plenty of (not entirely welcome) kisses, then headed to SG's to help celebrate her birthday. That was a lovely afternoon. Her Alleged Boyfriend cooked up a ton of wonderful breakfast goodies, and we celebrated in PJ's and sweats. A nice relaxed way to spend the day-after-christmas.

Then last night, fachless and I went out for karaoke! Well, that's not entirely true, since only one of us actually sang. And I got to finally meet drood and cscott in person! Unsurprisingly, they are just as cool and fun as I'd imagined. Their friends are pretty neat too. A perfect way to end a lovely weekend.

Darn those cosmopolitans, I don't remember any of that! And I don't have any new dollar bills either...did I spend them on MORE drinks? Yikes.

Sound like I missed a real rennie moment.

How come you never do stuff like that at the events we both attend?

*grin*

Ya know, it's possible that maybe, just maybe, he was exaggerating a little. Probably to torment me. In my version of the evening, I had a couple of drinks but behaved myself like a perfect little lady.

(Besides it was a gay bar, so I'm afraid most of the guys weren't too interested in anything I might have had to offer!)

heh... maybe because we don't usually have drood around to exaggerate everything!

Well I suppose with exaggeration we could come up with matching exploits by you at Stilyagi affairs.

No, you really were dancing around on the bar. I told everyone that two drinks would do it, but noooooo, someone had to get that third one for you. :)

If you guys want, I cohost a karaoke night on 14 Mile and Orchard Lake, at Champps. Hope to see you there sometime!
