Almost Two

Almost Two
He speaks in full sentences now, and he says the funniest things! For example, he got a little fussy and whimpery during Christmas dinner.

"You don't have to eat anything if you don't want to, but you can't just sit here and cry," said his father.

"I want to cry, Daddy."

"Well then go in the other room if you want to cry. You can't cry here."

"I want to cry in here!"

Well, he kept making noises....
His mom: "That's not really crying, just whining."
Me: "Come on Will, if you're going to cry, do it right."
His dad: "Yeah, give it some gusto, make us think you mean it!"

At this point I think he got distracted by the kitty-cat or something and wandered off.

Mean Old Auntie Karen

Best to keep some kitty kats handy for future crying.

My nephew does that too. When he cries, when he is asked why he always says "'Cause I'm sad", which is kinda cute but also kinda annoying.
