New Year's Eve Eve
Today is January Fourth's Eve. As predicted, I went to Luna for New Year's Eve Eve. That would be the thirtieth of December, for those of you who don't keep track of all days based on some other day's eve.

It was lots of fun, and I really ought to get out there more often. We had the entire Team Euchre group together, and even though none of us actually played any euchre that night we finally posed for a couple of photos. I realized awhile back, in going through my pictures, that I didn't have any pictures of the four of us! That has now been rectified, even though it was in a dark/foggy/smokey bar.

See, since I knew The AssGrabber was going to wear her new t-shirt, I decided to wear my profanity-based shirt as well. I got it for free at this very dance club, and I don't feel brave enough to wear it anywhere other than here! I don't think it was quite this skimpy last time I wore it... darn tiny tanks and washing machines.

Here's Team Euchre again -- but darnit Opera Girl, open your eyes!

Along with the posing, there was plenty of dancing. Much fun was had by all!

Ok, which one is the Librian and the Barista?

My Favorite Barista is pictured in her AssGrabber disguise, while the Lovely Librarian is on the right in a "love sucks" bunny shirt.

So was that rum and coke in your hand?

Did staying away from cosmo's work?

Its hard to tell from the photos.

You and Steven Brust should get along great except for the cigarettes.

There isn't a drink in my hand in any of the shots, just other people's hands.

What do you mean by "work"? I had a fun night out, same as I usually do when I go out with my friends. I can do that with or without drinks.

Kate has the raw feed up at her website.

Why do you drink then?

I actually drink because sometimes I need the sedative effect.

The tastes are interesting too.

I like the taste, and sometimes it's fun/freeing. Also a little bit helps when I'm cold or sore. Certainly nothing I need though.

I was thinking that you did not drink at all.

Then I remembered where we encoutered each other and realized that those situations were less likely ones than Thursdays at Luna to see you drinking.

The Internet and fandom causing us to think we know people when we really don't.

Well, I don't like beer, and I only kinda like wine. Also, I generally only have 1 or 2 drinks if I do happen to drink. So it's just not very noticible. *shrug*

I LOVE the shirt!!!

...now if you want to live dangerously, wear it TO work. :)I know my boss probably wouldn't appreciate it too much if I wore a shirt like that to the lawn care company.

And give your opera friend a break. Some of us always blink when flash photography is taken. I am one of those people who suffers from this minor setback, and sometimes it takes several pictures of me to get a REALLY good shot.

You probably would've got a good one of me today. I drank a bottle of Jolt before I went to work. I practically have to force myself to blink now. :) I think I now know what officially is "too much caffeine".

Re: I LOVE the shirt!!!

Thanks! I actually had a postcard with the same slogan that I left in the breakroom late one night, just to see what would happen. It was gone the next day, no mention made of it. Oh well!

Re: I LOVE the shirt!!!

Heh, they probably thought that it could've been just about anyone who left that postcard there, and that's probably why no one said anything about it. :) Besides, no one loves everything about their job, nor do they love their job all the time either. Hopefully everyone at your job is laid back enough to know that sometimes people do feel that way.

One time I found an old collection of Matt Groening cartoons in my car called "Work Is Hell". I was going to run a few of my favorite strips in the book off for my boss, but I decided, better safe than sorry!

Re: I LOVE the shirt!!!

THANK YOU! My retinas STILL haven't recovered from that evening. The damn flash was going off so often it was giving the strobe light a run for its money.

Re: I LOVE the shirt!!!

I know the feeling. Even when I open my eyes as wide as I can for a picture, I still end up blinking. You're better off getting candid shots of me if you want some of me with my eyes open. (Not that there HAVEN'T been bad shots of me looking straight at the camera, but sneak up on me so I don't blink.)
