I was sitting in the Agile lab at work today, setting up my laptop. Curly, behind me, started quietly singing Hey Jude. I started humming along, then singing softly myself. "Take a sad song, and make it better..."

We both faded out at the end of the verse, and she sighed. "I'm so glad you're finally back. I've been humming that song ALL WEEK, it's been stuck inside my head, and these guys just kept telling me to be quiet. But you? You just sing along!"

I laughed. "It's a great song, how can I help it?"

...nah-na-na nah.... hey Jude....

Hey Jude

(Lennon/McCartney)

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

Hey Jude, don't be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.

Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin,
You're waiting for someone to perform with.
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you'll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.

Na na na, na na na na, na na na, hey Jude...

songs running through head

I just watched Ghost. I've seen it several times, but it always gets 'Unchained Melody' running through my head. On the other hand, it's not the worst song to have on continuous replay.....

Don't you hate it when that happens? (i.e. hearing a song and not being able to get it out of your head) Lately, since a friend of mine hooked me up with a real rarity...the last performance of CATS in London, it's been several songs from said musical. Particularly "Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat".

Other songs guilty of this offense include Enya's "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)" and Barry Manilow's "Copacabana".

Thank goodness I can put all the songs I saved on my hard drive to this point on shuffle mode.
