I'm a Lucky Girl
I'm sitting here on my couch, catching up on LJ. There is a boy in my kitchen, and he is making us dinner! My mouth is watering. I hope it turns out yummy; he is trying something new. Thai food. It smells good.

My neck is still hurty, but it's better than yesterday. I'm glad. Hopefully tomorrow, it'll be even betterer!

There is laundry laundering downstairs, and I think I'm more-or-less done with my Christmas shopping. This is a good thing, because I'm leaving for Chicago immediately after work tomorrow! I must finish laundry and pack, and go through my mail/bills, and organize gifts, and a hundred other little things.... but for now I'm playing on my computer a bit and resting my neck.

I have a niece or nephew due the day after tomorrow. I hope s/he comes quickly, because I'm looking forward to meeting him/her! I'm also looking forward to having a gender to apply in these sorts of comments, because saying he/she all the time is tedious.

Work is soooo busy. I've barely been able to update this livejournaly thing, even though I have a bunch of things I'd like to say. But I have six days off in a row coming up very soon, and that'll be great. Even with traveling and holiday business, it'll be great!

Wishing peace and relaxed necks to everybody.....

(Update: Speaking of laundry, does anybody know why my washing machine would still have some bubbles in the bottom, even when it says it's done? Darn homeownership sometimes.)

Maybe it's time to change the "lint filter"? It's the stainless steel knit sock thingy that keeps the lint from clogging the drain... I was new enough at maintence I had to learn this from a web search when ours was doing the same thing years ago...

Inadequate rinsing. Any number of reasons, ranging from too much detergent to a clogged drain (check if it has a filter) to simply washing an article of clothing that doesn't rinse well (wash it separately).

Have a very safe trip to Chicago, and enjoy your time off!!!

Did you like the Thai food? I love the stuff, so yummy AND healthy.

Thai food is good stuff! hope it turned otu well. I haven't tried cooking it myself but I should. That is the one big thing I miss about living u pin the Detroit area- lots and lots of great Thai restaurants. There are NONE in Toledo. Well- I take it back. There is one around the corner but it is a half step down from Magic Wok.

Instead of saying he/she about the nephew/niece, you could always say "the Creature". That is what my sister did because the ultrasounds looked more like an alien at that point then a baby :)

There's only one thing to do. Learn how to cook Thai food! :)

Thai food cooking is still an unknown and dangerous land for me. Sounds like you did a great job though :)

Up until a few days ago, it was for me also. I was surprised at how simple it was, and how well it worked. All I did was follow a few directions I gleaned from recipies on the internet.

Go for it! The worst thing that can happen is you end up eating take-out pizza that night instead. < grin >

congrats about the new neice or nephew! he/she is lucky to have you.

as far as the washing machine, mine did that when i accidentally added too much detergent. i don't mean to imply that you aren't very skilled at washing your clothes, though!
