New Slogan
Forget our old slogan, Quality and Fearlessness. Now we have an excellent one which came out of a hopeful Business Analyst's request today:

ENHANCE FUNCTIONALITY WITHOUT INCREASING SCOPE

Sounds perfect, doesn't it? What could simpler or more obvious than that?

Sounds like the subject line of pr0n spam...

Indeed they do.

You two aren't the only ones.

We're gonna need some other folks to fill out the bottom of the bell curve pretty soon...

Huh, you're right, now that you mention it! I think it's the word "enhance"...

There's a HNT photo in that slogan somewhere. I just shudder to think what it might be.

The old slogan doesn't really make sense to me; I thought you were a technology geek, but the old slogan makes you sound like you're a circus geek.

Quality and Fearlessness is what Agile Programming means to us. Quickly produce high-quality product, whatever they ask for, no more, no less. Code fearlessly, write just enough to fulfill the requirements, and don't be afraid to throw away code that no longer does what they want. Using Test Driven Development, you can fearlessly change any piece of code without wondering whether it's going to break some other part of the app.

On the other hand, I can do a pretty good cartwheel, and flips on a trampoline. And stilts, i can walk on stilts....

I admire your company's development environment!

Especially after having worked at Bell Labs *shudder*. The motto of my group was something along the lines of "Millions of hours programming speech recognition algorithms in DSPs, but not one cent for an In-Circuit Emulator!"

Maybe if you didn't have any specific functionality in mind...

Enhancement

If you hear people at work talk like that without the benefit of pharmaceutical enhancement, it is time to spam the world with your resume. People who talk like that when they are sober do not know what they are doing.

Google is hiring.
