It's kind of funny: each time I look at an assignment I'm given for school, I find myself thinking "Wow, that's a lot of work."

Eventually I might get it into my head that, while grad school will be informative and interesting, it will also be challenging -- aka, a lot of work.

When I was a full time grad student my average work week was at least 60 hours. Good time I taught the same course most terms so my prep time was very little, mostly changing exam questions and adding new reading materials.

Although I'm not taking grad classes, my classes now are a lot of work. Sadly, they are 95% busy work and I'm not really -learning- anything new, just reading about other peoples experiences..

school is awkward. I don't mind that I have to jump through hoops to get to where I want, but at least make the hoops useful and have to do with what I'm studying to be :)
