My cable modem is on the fritz. I feel so disconnected from everything! All I have is this wee little Treo to serve as my lifeline to the rest of the world.

I have been SO busy recently! Here is how busy I've been: today I finally opened up all the Christmas cards I received this season and taped them to my door. That's a little sad, that I haven't been enjoying my cards until now! They are great too.. several ones made me laugh and/or smile. Thanks to anyone reading this who set one to me.

All good things keeping me busy though. My office renovation went delightfully well. It looks great. The holidays were lovely, my trip to Chicago went nicely, I've bee to a few nice parties (though sadly missed some too), and I had a really good new year celebration.

Being unemployed these past two weeks has been great! I wish I could do it all the time. Of course it's cheatigly "unemployed", since in fact not only do I have a job lined up but I was actually being paid through the end of the year due to unused PTO. I'm sure that if the checks stopped coming I would quickly feel differently about it.

Tomorrow I begin a new era. It's my first day on the ew job. I have't started a new job for eleven years and some change! I'm so excited... But more than a little nervous as well. It should be neat and overwhelming and great, and I'm looking forward to it. Freaking out a bit, but ready for my new adventure.

Now if only my internet connection worked, it'd be perfect. Merry New Year to everyone! I hope 2008 turns out to be way better than the last.

Good luck!

I'll be thinking about you at your new job - knock 'em dead! I started my new job a year ago, and I remember how scary it can be.
Good luck, hugs.

May this be your best year so far and yet pale in comparison to those to come.

How do you bee a party?

I hope you get your cable modem fixed, it could be hard to telecommute using a Treo, although I am sure you could do it, being a very capable person.

(a) I enjoyed your Chicago vacation as well!

(b) Good luck in your new job. And remember: according to the people who live there, Belgium makes the best beer in the entire world.
