Summer Books
18. One Good Dog, by Susan Wilson. (audio) M was afraid this would be a sad book, but it wasn't really. I liked it a lot. There were two voice actors, as some chapters were narrated by the dog, and some were about the man. I loved the dog's way of speaking. Recommended.

17. The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir, by Bill Bryson. (audio) A story about being a kid in Iowa in the 1950's, and moreover a tale about the 1950's in general. Very entertaining, read by the author. Recommended.

16. The Soul Thief, by Charles Baxter. (audio) This one left me unimpressed. It annoyed me even while I wanted to find out how it ended, and when it did end, it didn't really make sense after all. The secondary characters were all interesting - wish the book had been more about them.

I read #17 on the ol' Nook. I second the recommendation.
