First I tried putting it in a clip. Random pieces of it came spurting out of the clip at awkward angles. Then I tried a high ponytail. The bits by my ears looked pulled far too tight, and the stuff at the top was bumpy and unkempt, while one strand wandered down my neck, ignoring the ponytail altogether. Now it's in a low ponytail, barely presentable.
I thought about calling-in-bad-hair to the office this morning, or perhaps just calling-in-ugly. C said they wouldn't believe me, but I said I could email them a photo, and they'd be quickly convinced. Maybe I should be wearing a hat, or a paper bag. But I'm here, weird hair and all, even the strands by my ears which are defying gravity and hovering parallel to the ground.
Oh well. Here's a photo of me with some of the ladies I hung out with on Sunday night, a time when I was having a slightly-less-bad-hair-day, and had fairly successfully pulled it back.
