the story of an invisible girl
Answers and Thanks
Thank you, a billion times thank you, to everybody who filled out my birthday poll yesterday! It definitely cheered me up, and you each helped make my birthday extra-special. *big squelching hugs* to all. (If you missed it yesterday, you're still allowed to fill it out if you want to....I don't mind belated birthday wishes.)

I will now answer your questions, those of you who asked some:

renniekins -- Why are you filling out your own poll?
So that the poll will appear filled-out when I look at it in my journal, and I can see results more quickly.

katester -- i'm supposed to ask questions?
Not if you don't want to!

fjarlq -- handbasket?
It's from a button I saw once, which read: "Where are we going, and what am I doing in this handbasket?" When I started adding questions to the list I was reminded of that quote (random free-association), so I included it to make the poll more surreal....

encorecrazay -- Why are you doing this
I wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to wish me a happy birthday, so lots of people would do it! To make me feel good about myself. Because I was feeling a bit lonely and selfish. Because I wanted to see what people would say, and I thought it would be fun.

joline -- Can I stay home today? Please? I'm tired.
Yes you may. Tell your boss I gave your permission, and if she has a problem with that she should come fill out my birthday poll.

cjdoyle -- Yes.
Excellent. Although our telepathic communication doesn't seem to be working, so I can't answer them.

drood -- What time are the male strippers?
He arrived at my house before I did, and started stripping at 9:16pm. Unfortunately the show was just a changing-of-tshirts, and I had to provide my own musical accompaniment.

simplykimberly -- Are you going to do anything to celebrate?
I hadn't planned on anything yesterday, but I ended up having some ice cream after skating, and C gave me a lovely (unexpected) dinner when I got home afterward. I'm also getting together with my mom/dad/sister on thursday.

charisma -- How old are you now? ;)
32, going on 14!

infernus1218 -- are you dating anyone?
Yes, I'm currently dating the boy referred to as "C" in this journal.

mrspointyhat -- What do you want for your Birthday, and don't say, not to have another one!
To be happy. Cute summer clothes. World peace. A Replay TV. A maid/butler/cook to take care of me and my house.

mrdisco99 -- no, but I'll let you know if I do
Good, you do that.

zenmondo -- How does it feel to be so damn cool, and almost-famous?
It's fun! I can't wait for the almost-money to start pouring in...heh-heh.

fantasyman -- Top, bottom or side?
um, I like my hot fudge on top of my ice cream, but my ranch dressing on the side of my salad. I like my bread on the bottom of my sandwich.

siri_girl -- what impression did my drunk, sleep-deprived self make on you at con? and are you still my lackey?
I thought you were sweet, and a lot of fun! I think C was your only lackey, sorry... I'm just a groupie.

jeffreyab -- What did you get for your birthday?
So far? Some chocolates and 2 e-cards. However I'm told I have a ReplayTV on the way, and I will probably get something from my family when I see them on thursday.

bjorng -- what purpose do you think birthdays serve?
Help us keep track of how long we've been around, essentially. However it's also a nice way for us to have a designated day on which to celebrate the existence of people we care for.

stilldocked -- would you babysit TEA for me?
Sure, all I will require is dinner (or lunch) in return. Drop him off any afternoon or evening when I am free! Hopefully he likes cats.

cannibal -- how many roads must a man walk down?

I'm 32, too! Hehe. I'll be 33 on June 13th, though. Horray for Geminis!

What is ranch dressing? And do you guys have a different kind of sandwich?

Rance dressing is a cool and creamy salad-topping.

A sandwich usually has two pieces of bread, on top and bottom, if that's what you mean. I just mean that if I'm only having one then the bread should go on the bottom (we'd call that an "open-faced sandwich").

Interesting sauce. Never seen it over here, but you seem to have a greater variety of food over in the US of A.

Not sure we really have opened faced sandwiches...

Well, when you come visit me someday, I will take you out for a yummy salad with ranch dressing, and an open-faced roast beef sandwich!
