Knee Doctor Call

Finally heard from my knee doctor; he called me this evening. He says he is "skeptical" of the results. He says they are not always accurate. The radiologist who interpreted them is very good, which lends weight to them.... But their findings do not match with his findings doing a manual exam. He has treated patients before whose MRI's indicate a torn ACL who hasn't had one. So they might not be accurate. But why did he have me get an MRI then? Argh.

He asked me if I felt like it was loose, and I wasn't sure. I know it feels Wrong. Very wrong. When I skate, it feels "floppy". But when I hurt it, it wasn't nearly as bad as the other knee injury. It didn't hurt as much nor swell up.

But when I hurt this one and tried to use it, I knew instantly there was something very wrong. Plus, it's been 2 months and it's really not much better. It just does not function right. Those indicate perhaps it's true.

*sigh* So no definite answers. I have an appointment on monday, and he's going to do some further tests that he didn't do before, because he didn't think it was a tear. Plus he will look over the films himself. He is still very skeptical though, just when I am beginning to believe it myself. So now I don't know what to think again.
