Half of an Update

I still have 50% of a cold, and I am therefore only 50% happy. I am at work, but I feel like I'm only half-here. I'm definitely half-wishing I was at home.

On the plus side, I was given half of a get-well card last night! That was nice. Also, I was taken to see all of a Red Wings game... pretty nifty. Given how much of my time I spend in ice arenas, it may be surprising how little hockey I watch. Maybe because I'm so busy watching synchro (which is not just prettier but more exciting than hockey, incidentally).

Also, I greatly prefer to play sports instead of watching others do it. I'm just not much of a sports fan. Still, it was neat to watch the game. I'd never been to a Wings game before, and I like to try new things. The crowd was very into the game, and our seats were right by the ice. It was pretty exciting, and a good time!

In other news, more than half of my knees hurt. Two out of two, in fact, although one (the injured one) hurts more than the other. It's frustrating. I'm glad I don't have to skate until sunday; hopefully some rest will do them both good.

I have no plans for this weekend (well, until sunday evening's skating practice of course). No traveling, no appointments, no commitments, nothing. I'm really thrilled by this fact! I've been so busy recently. I may get together with a friend or two at some point, but I don't have to go anywhere if I don't want to. I just may spend the entire weekend in my jammies. That sounds just lovely.
