1000th Entry

I downloaded this nifty new program I read about (coincidentally on lj_nifty), called ljArchive. I decided to try it out, so I installed it, and the first thing it started doing was downloading all of my journal entries.

The status bar started ticking away:
"downloading 100 of 999...."
"downloading 200 of 999...."

"Well that's strange," I thought to myself. I can't possibly have exactly 999 entries; that must be some sort of default upper limit it uses or something. How odd. As it continued counting, I decided to look. I went to my user profile and clicked full details, and there it was.

Journal entries: 999

Imagine that, nine hundred ninety-nine journal entries! What a cool coincidence that I should happen to notice it right now, so that I can properly commemorate the occasion with this exciting 1000th journal entry!

Wow, that's a lot of entries. Of course, some of them aren't very exciting. Consider, for example, illustrious entry #5:

eeep, here is the problem with being unable to sleep: eventually you do sleep, and then you wake up late for work, alas....

I didn't really go into as many details as I tend to these days. But then, I was late for work, after all. The very fact that I stopped to write any size entry before leaving is just a little bit counter-productive!

Fascinating, I like this archive program. It's a much quicker and easier way to browse through old entries -- not to mention searching! So far so good, it's pretty cool. It's still in beta though, so hopefully I won't stumble over any major flaws or security violations or whatnot....

Happy 1000, everyone! Here's to 1000 more. *chink*
