School Sunday

I was going to title this post "Sunday School", but that has an entirely different connotation than what I mean. I didn't go learn about the Bible this morning -- instead I'm just spending most of the day finishing up my schoolwork. Since most of the classes I've been taking have an assignment due each sunday night, sundays have become my "get homework done" day. (Or on busy weeks, it is my "get homework started and then done" day.)

After a great (if short) visit with my parents for Thanksgiving, a long drive home followed by two fun gatherings at friends' houses, I am home again. I popped out for coffee this morning, then put seed in my birdfeeder. I am now sitting comfortably on my couch, watching through the window as little birds fight madly over the yummy new treats. I have a textbook beside me and a laptop in front of me. I have finished my reading, and I've outlined my paper.

I've observed (with puzzlement) my across-the-street neighbors load all the big plastic toys from their daycare into the bed of a truck and drive it away. I've finished my coffee and switched to Diet Pepsi. I should probably, as MF noted a few days ago, remember to eat some lunch. But first, I should remember to get back to work. This is week five I'm finishing up, so after today only three more weeks. Then Christmas - yay!

I should put up my Christmas tree. I should do some shopping. I should string some lights outside, and actually I really need to sort my mail. My office is a mess, I need to go through and put everything away nicely....

No wait. I'm supposed to be doing homework, that's right. I should do that instead.
