Travel Books!

19. Watchman by Ian Rankin -- book on CD borrowed from the library for my drive to Chicago. Amusing spy novel. The variety of London, Scottish, and Irish accents made the listening a pleasure.

18. Century Rain by Alastair Reynolds -- Paris, Science Fiction, and Alternate History, and Private Eyes -- all blend together with flair. It had its slower moments, but managed to keep them to a minimum. I liked it quite a lot. Also, I received it as a birthday present, which makes it extra-special.

...a thought. If you've read a book I post about, comment and let me know what you thought of it. Such a discussion may lead to great things: recommendations for new books!

...or, just generally, recommend a book I should read. We could turn it into a whole darn LJ Book Club thing.
