Deer Kamp

My sweetie is up north this week, trying to catch a deer. I called him this evening, asking how many deers he has caught yet. He hasn't gotten any. He claims he isnt allowed to until tomorrow. Silly rule... What deer can tell time?

I have been warned that the weather is not good for deer-catching, but I hope he is wrong because I want some venison sausage and jerky.

In the meantime, I am Home Alone, and I don't especially like it. It's not too bad though... He worked hard to make sure I'd feel loved and cared for. He gave me our crock pot cook book Saturday, and had me pick something out. I selected a chicken, mushroom, and barley soup for my missing-husband-comfort-food. It's yummy, warm, and comforting. The cats like it too. I especially like it with the bread I found with full cloves of garlic in it.

I've been distracting myself With work and exercise. Yesterday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical plus 60 on the recumbent bike. Today I am extra pleased: I took aone hour kickboxing class followed by a one hour zumba class. I'm sore now, but proud of myself!!

The cats are happy, because they get to sleep in the bed tonight. I'm happy to have the bed warmer, but less pleased about kitty-breath. Things are going just fine though... And only 2nights left before he comes home. (unfortunately I leave the next day for a software conference... We just can't win!). Oh well, everything is solvable, and if these are the only problem we encounter, we shall be a happy pair indeed.
