the story of an invisible girl
Happy things

My sister-in-law is pregnant again. Dec 23. We will have a Christmas baby. I hope it's a girl. I will name her Madeline.

My parents accepted an offer on their house. They are heading to Chicago tomorrow, looking for a place to live next. They should close on Aug 1. I hope the new owners will still cook dinner for me on Wednesday nights.

I worked out yesterday -- I actually visited my gym on my lunch hour. 35 minutes on the treadmill, though only 10 running. Then some weights and squats and such.

After all kinds of complications, my lawn is finally mowed again.

Sad things

I am really sore from my arm workout yesterday. Owie ow ow.

My house is a mess, and the cats have been refusing to help pick it up.

July is coming already.

I love the name Madeline...how does your Sister-in-law feel about it though?

It's always weird when parents move from the home you grew up in (I'm assuming they haven't done this already)...but it's fun and exciting.

Is walking up and down three flights of stairs twice a day exercize? (I know, I'm lazy!)

I'm glad I don't have a lawn to mow, though I saw someone mowing theirs today and it almost looked like fun.

I'm also glad to know that my shmoopies aren't the only domestically lazy creatures. The best I can get out of them is that Sam will try to protect me from the Beast (vaccuum). heh.

July is full of birthdays for me, so it's kind of fun. Though I could do without the temperatures. Yikes. I didn't think it was that bad until I burned my hands on my steering wheel yesterday after lunch. owie!

It's very nice that your sister-in-law is letting you name her child.

If the new owners cook dinner for you, do they also handle the parental angst?

My cats don't help around the house either. I've asked if they could at least clean up their food bowl and stuff liek that, but they just stare at me like I'm speakign a different language.

A X-mas baby. Poor kid.

You know the first thing the three wise men said when they walked up to baby Jesus was "now kid, these are for Christmas AND your birthday..."

That's the 3rd person I've heard of due in that time frame: myself--Dec 20, my sister-in-law--Dec 22 and your sister-in-law--Dec 23. (Of course, the actual dates are only a guideline, they come when they want to.)

My family has a lot of December birthdays. It really makes December a party month.

Maybe you're parents will buy a place near me, so I can actually meet you someday! :-)

So you are going to be an aunt squared now.

I never got to name any of my neices and nephews how did you manage it?

I did come up with one nickname that stuck though.

I'll tell right now cats prefer mess.

Ease off on the workouts if the armpain continues.

Feel free to visit, if you're up Chicago way.

Of course the cats won't help you clean it up. When was the last time a cat did ANYTHING it was asked?

As much as I think the little furballs are cute, they should get jobs to cover the expenses. You might want to show them the Skimbleshanks number from CATS and tell them they should be more like that.
