Home from my Ohio trip. Tired!! It was a "work hard, play hard" kind of trip, with two days of grueling meetings. Then after the second one on thursday, we went out on Lake Erie. We rode in a cool sailboat, and on a jetski. Surprisingly, the jetski made my thighs very sore! It could have been the sailboat, but that seems unlikely. I think it was the jetski. Aka skidoo, I guess. Then there was eating, then more boating. We fell off the jetski once, but the water was warm. It was actually really fun! The group gradually got smaller, as various people started to head home. So each activity had a few less people, but it was still nifty. Then this morning, there was breakfast then more jetskiing. Plus we rode in the dinghy, because we didn't have time to take out the real boat. Fun! Our clothes were all wet though, lots of splashing. Also my hair was such a tangled mess that I completely gave up brushing it. I may just have to cut it all off and start over. But I'm going to try tons of conditioner first, now that I'm home where all my conditioner lives. We were supposed to leave at 2, but we ended up not doing so. Instead, we spontaneously decided to go to Cedar Point. Cedar Point! My friday-night dinner plans had been canceled, and Curly managed to rearrange hers, so we decided to be a little bit crazy-spontaneous. It was soooo fun! We were down to just three people by then, four if you count Captain's wife. First we dried our clothes in the boat dock's dryer. Which was good because otherwise it just wouldn't have been fun. There were practically no lines, and even though it kept looking like rain it never really rained. A little bit of sprinkling maybe, but no actual rain. I even did the ripcord ride, which was really neat! A little scary. A few new nicknames were assigned over the course of the week, and some team bonding occurred. It was a really lovely week! I'm so tired now... I really oughta go to sleep. No rearranging of this jumble of stories, but at least I've gotten some of the details down. So I won't forget quite as many, with luck.
