It's deliciously warm here in San Antonio. After a good flight (with a surly stewardess), followed by a bunch of hassel at the rental car place, followed by managing to get mildly lost in the 3 miles between the airport and my hotel... I decided I needed to go out.

I found my way to the Riverwalk. I remembered the Alamo, but it didn't remember to stay open past 5:30. Oh well.

After walking around and taking it all in, I am now enjoying a giant margerita and some chips and salsa. Yum! Enchiladas are coming.

I have a reason to celebrate: our release is officially in Production! Woo-hoo! Hopefully tomorrow, when I help the users start trying it, will go well.

I might get my neice and nephew matching Don't Mess With Texas shirts. I don't know why, except that they amuse me. (hmm...maybe I need one too!)

looks like you're having fun... That's a cool pic. Looks almost european.

Your icon is creating a cognitive dissonance for me - are you going skiing down there? :)

I hope you have a grand time there, and congrats on your release being in production! Yay!

Glad we could thaw you out.

I was also confused by the skiing icon! I hope your enchiladas were wonderful, and your release bug-free.

Now, could you explain your t-shirt to me?

Oh yes, that's the Dam Brewery in Dillon Colorado! Cool shirt, eh?

Excellent! Good beer is a good thing. Nicely curvy shirt, too. ;)

I remember walking along the riverwalk a couple evenings when I was down at the worldcon in San Antonio a few years back. It was quite nice.

Rub it in! I love San Antonio and I love the riverwalk. I could spend weeks just wandering up and down there during the evening hours.

Eat at least one meal on the gondola/raft/barge thingies... it's worth it. :)

Enjoy your trip.

It was such a nice place to spend my evenings! I didn't manage to have a meal on one of the boats though, alas.... 2 nights was clearly not enough time to spend down there. I miss the sun!

Hey! We were just in San Antonio a couple days ago (and then drove through it again on the way to and from Del Rio). We're in Austin, flying back up tomorrow. It is nice down here, isn't it?

I had the same problem with the Alamo, never did see the inside.

San Antonio has some of the best Mexican food any where. I hope you love your stay in my old home town.
