Buffy in Pictures - cellophane — LiveJournal
the story of an invisible girl
Buffy in Pictures
Hot Buffy Hot Buffy
Luke Ski Luke Ski

Luke Ski opens up the performance by explaining to the audience what they're about to witness.
Going through the motions Going through the motions

Going through the motions, faking it somehow.
She's not even half the girl she.... ow.

Will I stay this way forever?
Sleepwalk through my life's endeavor?
I've got a theory I've got a theory

The group discovers the 'dancing and singing' spell, and theorizes what it might be.

Anya suggests that it could, for example, be bunnies.

The group stares at her in silence.

Crickets chirp.

Bunnies aren't just cute like every body supposes.

They've got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses.

And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

I'll Never Tell I'll Never Tell

But I'm out of the biz.
The name I've made I'll trade for his.
The only trouble is....

I'll never tell.

She is the one, she's such wonderful fun.

But there's just one thing that - no, I'll never tell.

Because there's nothing to tell....

He snores

She wheezes

Say housework and he freezes

His eyes are beedy!!!

This is MY verse, hello?

Look at me, I'm dancing CRAZY!

The vibe gets kinda scary.

Like she thinks I'm ordinary.

Like it's all just temporary.

Like her toes are kinda hairy

- but it's all very well. 'cause God knows I'll never tell!

You know...

you're quite the charmer.

My night in armor!

I've lied: I said it's easy.

I've tried, but there's these fears I can't quell.

Is she looking for a pot of gold?

Will I look good when I've gotten old?

We could really raise the beam on making marriage a hell!

So thank God I'll never tell.
Walk with Giles Walk with Giles

(This was after my 7-second quick change. One arm got stuck so it wasn't instantaneous, but I still burst in just in time for...)

My toes are not hairy!
That's What It's All About That's What It's All About
What I mean, I'm fifteen, So this queen thing's illegal

I can bring whole cities to ruin, and still have time to get a soft-shoe in
Life's a Show Life's a Show

(We see Buffy faces a demon alone. Giles says,)

She needs backup! Tara, Anya.

(So we rushed up to sing/dance backup.)

Many thanks go to thatguychuck for taking all these photos -- especially since he had to deal with a dying battery, not knowing the blocking, and being busy trying to watch it also!

Thanks to cannibal for the picture posted earlier.  Anybody else have any?  Kindly point 'em my way!

OH! That's so cool! You're adorable. And your butterfly shirt for the bunny song is perfect!

What did you do for music?

That "she needs backup!" is possibly my FAVORITE moment in the whole episode. :)

Thanks so much for posting the pictures.

Thanks! The shirt isn't even a butterfly shirt: it's a t-shirt with "Jamaica" and some palm trees. But it's colorful, so it works from a distance. And it was only $3 at a resale shop, so I didn't mind cutting it up into the right shape.

We had the actual episode showing on a projector, complete with volume, and we just did a combination of lip-synching and actual singing along. Kinda Rocky Horror style.

The great thing about the episode is that a lot of lines are still really funny, even now that I've seen it a million times and memorized my lines. Some of them still make me giggle, the "she needs backup" line included. (:

I think this is the best of the bunch!

Hope that worked. If not, I've linked to my (mostly Buffy-related) Penguicon gallery on my latest journal entry.

It looks like you guys really carried it off and close to the episode.

I was singing along in your captions, but then I'm a huge Buffy fan. ;)

Cool! We encouraged the audience to sing along too.

Now I know what I'm listening to on the drive to work today...

Very cool! It looks like it was a lot of fun! Of all the characters, I think Anya would definately be the most fun to play 'cause she is the oddest :)

I think your choice of sleepwear worked very well by the way.

Glad to hear it; thanks!

So what is your next role going to be?
thatguychuck From: thatguychuck Date: April 25th, 2006 08:36 pm (UTC) (Link)
Great pictures, and great post. I think the "The vibe gets kinda scary" one is really nice. A bit blurry, but nice. :)

I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, but I had excellent inspiration. ;)

Of course it's bunnies. Usually in groups of three. Usually dancing some evil spell in the middle of the night on a Barrow in Dublin (...sigh, ohio that is). They're evil. Especially up close where you can see they aren't made of fur and nice stuff at all. Especially when you know they feed on little children! um.. yep. must be the bunnies.

I've SEEN your scary bunnies! They were probably the inspiration for this song, I'm thinkin'.
