Pretty sky! Almost looks like a patchwork quilt.

Bizarre, it was a pretty sunset at first, now a few hours later it's an icon-sized image of people in front of a building, HTML stretched to the larger size so it's badly pixellated. Reload doesn't fix it.

When I clicked on the image at first it took me to the correct image on flickr. Now it says "Flickr is having a massage". Maybe flickr is screwed up.

Weird... I can see my image, but on the blog they say something about the cache being screwed up. I guess that's why, you got somebody else's cache!

That is lovely. But I'd rather be at home too.

Wow. From my office, I can see a bank and the back side of a strip mall.

Which is, I suppose, better than no view at all.

So, I can see something like six criss-crossing vapour trails - are you under the flight path for a couple of airports there? It looks pretty, though.

Reminds me of when I worked in an office building close to the final approach path to Heathrow Airport, back in the day when Concorde flew in every afternoon. She'd pass over us at about 1,000 feet, then turn round the twin radio masts of Beulah Hill and Crystal Palace, and I'd see her sinking like a little white dart down into the western sky. It was a lovely sight.

The other aircraft were okay, but just not as pretty or graceful in motion, somehow.

Oh, that sounds neat.

There is a local airport just a couple of miles away. The Detroit airport is not all that close, but I do see planes pretty often.

you're actually close enough to DTW to be in at least one flight path. i remember one trip when i came home during daylight and it took me over Somerset Mall and the Shrine of the Little Flower church at 12 and Woodward. It looked *so* cool from the air!

i get views like that out our main door of the admin building. i never have my camera on me to capture them!
