Cooler Day

Hey, well done you! I used to bike to work quite regularly when I was younger and lighter, and I loved it - the problems of where to put the bike during the day and where to change into smart secretarial clothes, though, meant I'd have to reckon to arrive at work at least half an hour before the office opened to cool down, dry off, store the bike somewhere out of the way (for a while it was in an eaves cupboard on the top (3rd) floor of the building!), and get changed.

The facilities changed from one office to another, but usually there was nowhere easy, safe and under cover to store the bike during the day. Out of the question to put it in an unused room, of course... god, I've worked for some sad nasty control freaks in my time.

My office has a covered parking lot under the regular parking lot. Cars have to pay for a space, but I ride right past the barrier and lock my bike to a pipe of some sort in a corner.

It's kind of a grungy place, but it works and is out of the elements.

Cleaning up and drying off enough to put on (business casual) work clothes is the biggest pain for me.
