In preparation for future working from home, and also just because my house (life) needs some organizing, She Who Clarifies is helping me makeover my home office. We've been chatting back and forth for awhile, and today we began the ordeal. Or adventure. It all depends on your perspective. For me, the prospect was an ordeal, but with the help of somebody who enjoys this kind of thing, it is becoming an adventure. We went shopping today at Ikea and got some new furniture. I have moved all of my "stuff" out of the room, and I'm getting rid of all of my excess desks.
Tomorrow begins Day Two. We will move the furniture out, clean the floor and paint one wall, assemble the new furniture, visit Office Something for supplies, then set up everything in the new space. It's a lot to do in one day... hopefully we'll manage it. They always do fine on Clean Sweep, but then they always have a bigger team and more experience. We'll see how it goes.
I'm really looking forward to my new office, and I hope it ends up looking as good as I imagine it will. It will be nice to be organized! It's nice to have a lover-of-organization here to help and give advice.
