Cheesecake Project
For my saturday night event, I decided it should be declared a groundhog party. Or at least that it should involve some groundhog acknowledgment.

Since I had volunteered to bring a dessert, and L had recently sent out a nice cupcake project idea, I decided to take it on. But with a cheesecake instead of cupcakes, since I didn't know how many people I was feeding.

My groundhogs were imperfect (and the camraphone photos rather dark), but they are still relatively cute. Not bad for a first try... Next year I'll do better.

There was no cuteness warning.

Nice job!

On Saturday, we had a specialty cake of our own. (The Kid's 14th birthday.) It was a black-frosted, red velvet bat-shaped cake. (Pictures someday, maybe.) The Kid's instructions? It read: Happee Birthdar Harry.

Should you ever feel so inspired, perhaps you could try a sculpted red velvet cake. It's easier than one would think. And, if all else fails, you could commission one from Cakes By Deb in Wayne. ;)

Re: Bah.

Sounds cute! Pictures would be fun to see. So does your kid like groundhogs?
