20. A Hymn Before Battle, by John Ringo - a free e-book. It started out really interesting, but then during the last third of the book, the author dropped all the sub-plots he'd started with and focused on one huge battle. Long detailed battle descriptions are some of my least favorite parts of SF. I felt unresolved on all of the interesting subplots and battled out by the end of the book (so I guess I liked the hymn but not the battle!). I have now realized that the book was the first of a series, so that may be where all the loose ends go, but I probably won't bother reading the rest.
