Stupid Mouth

I visited the dentist on monday (2 days ago), and my teeth and mouth were healthy. Had the usual cleaning, no cavities, no issues, and I went on my merry way. However early this morning I got up to use the bathroom, felt a tiny pop (possibly imaginary, I was barely awake), and suddenly my back-bottom-right gum area felt puffy and hurting.

I fear this is another onset of the same mouth mystery I have dealt with four times already - this makes number five. Darn it! I was JUST at the dentist, and everything was FINE. My teeth and mouth are the cleanest they've been in six months, so why would this happen NOW of all times? It's so frustrating that this keeps mysteriously coming back.

Here is what I wrote after my April 6-month dentist visit, which occurred right after the last time this darn mouth issue appeared:
On the plus side, the dental trip went well! No cavities, my teeth are clean, and my mysterious gum/gland infection is completely cleared up. They told me next time it happens I should call right away, before it gets bad, since the antibiotics did such a good job of clearing it up. I told them I was hoping there wouldn't be a next time. We'll see who ends up right (I hope I am!).

Unfortunately it looks like they won our pseudo-bet. Too bad I don't know WHY! Frustrating.

This time I have leftover fancy prescription mouth wash, so I'll start with that. Maybe attacking it early with the rinse will be sufficient -- it's worth a try at least. If it gets worse, or doesn't get better in a day or two, I guess it's more antibiotics for me. How annoying.
