My Owie
Colorful and pretty, that's me. It's an impressive bruise! However I should comment that I've been giving blood since 1988, over four gallons total, and this is only the second time I've had the "stop and restart" issue I described yesterday. The last time was in the early 90's, so I just want to be clear that it's rare. I don't want to scare anyone! Most of the time giving blood is boring and mildly uncomfortable, but not painful. And like I said: it sure beats bleeding to death.

Yup, that's a good'un! But as you say, it's very rare to get anything like that - I don't usually even have a mark the next day - and the benefits to others far, far outweighs sitting around for forty minutes being processed/waiting, then about ten being the actual blood-letting.

I hate giving blood.

Ah, but the way you phrased your ire implies you HAVE (or at least have tried) given blood at least once. Which is more than many people can say, so "Good on you!".

If you continue to give blood, even though you hate it, then you are, in a way, doing even better than Rennie.
