the story of an invisible girl
I was sitting with a coworker, looking at a computer screen with him, drinking a diet coke. Upon finishing the drink, I tossed it toward the garbage can in the next cube over.

It missed.

Hey, it could be worse ... it could have bounced off the rim of the can, up toward the desk, and splattered its remains all over the computer! Don't discount your innate talent at avoiding that situation. :)

You don't recycle? For shame!

It's worse than that. We have a ten cent deposit on bottles here. She threw away a dime!

At my office we have two trash cans, one for trash, one with a recycling symbol on it.

Alas, the recycling one is for paper only, and most of us print very little nowadays; if we put cans or other recyclables in there, the cleaning service just throws those out.

At least the recycling can is on the way to the pop machine to get another one. And it's on the way to the can, if we're done renting.

Wait, you're in Michigan and you're throwing away a pop can?

You are obviously among the nouveau riche... that's 10 cents, you know!
