the story of an invisible girl
Ah, lj is back. I haven't been able to access it in awhile. That's okay, because I haven't really been able to write much in awhile anyway -- been too busy.

Most of my house is now painted. The two small bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and the majority of the basement. All the carpet is ripped up in the basement. Lots of my stuff has been moved to my PODS, which is now off to storage.

Sadly despite all the work, the place looks more cluttered before because right now it is still a work area. Before I leave today, this will change though. We'll tidy things up and have it look like a cute and buyable house.

This afternoon two of my cats are moving to M's house. Once they are gone I can do final cat-fur-removal on the furniture. Mouse is staying, because I can't put her through that until I move there with her. But having one cat instead of three will make a big difference.

M has been amazing in helping with all of this, and I really hope all of our hard work pays off. When this place sells, I'll move into his house with him and we'll try out this cohabitation thing. Hopefully we'll love it. I'm looking forward to it being a fun adventure.

It's been a ton of hard work. We're both exhausted. But we still believe it will be worth it, and I'm going to have this thing listed within a week.

If you know anybody interested in buying a house in Royal Oak (3 bed, 1 bath), do put us in touch! For now, I have to go caulk the bathtub and paint the basement stairs....

When you live in my neighborhood, we should hang out!

One recommendation. Factor in time alone, when you both can without feeling guilty or neglected Be Alone. Even if it's only to read a book or cook a meal, cohabitation works best when you build in 'alone-time' to give each other a break from being constantly together. It's lovely, but hard work at times!

If you can share a URL with the listing when it's done, that might make it easier for us to share it with people who might be interested.

Your house is adorable; it's a shame we can't justify a second one. (I must confess, though, that if we did, it would probably out in the country a ways.)

I think it's going to turn out great. You really can't go wrong when you honestly balance the head and the heart and see where those two point. When they point in the same direction, I say go for it.
