Two? Already?

On the morning of our two-year wedding anniversary, I awoke to find flowers arrayed in my kitchen.  How did they get there?  I don't know!  They weren't there last night... maybe the flower fairy came.  Or my husband is particularly sneaky and sweet.

Can't believe it's been two years since we got married!

We celebrated by taking the day off of work (me), or a half day (him), and going out for a nice dinner.  We wanted to do something a little different.  I have this idea that we should do something that is sort of "bucket list-y" every year for our anniversary.  Or at least, "something we've never done before".  When we got married, our honeymoon in Costa Rica was full of things we'd never done before.  Last year, we went swimming with dolphins, which was something we'd both always wanted to do.

This year we bought Dream House, which totally counts.  Then on top of that, we found a local restaurant (Paesanos) which was throwing a MardiGras party.  Since our anniversary won't fall on MardiGras very often, this seemed like a fun and unique way to celebrate.  They had beads and masks, 5 courses of delicious food, each course paired with a specially chosen wine.  It was a great evening!
