Rainbow - cellophane — LiveJournal
the story of an invisible girl
Driving home from skating today, I saw a rainbow. And not just a bow-snippet, like I usually see, but a full honest-to-goodness arc in the sky, with both ends planted firmly in the horizon, and the top majestically soaring above the street, completely visible. It was so beautiful and so fascinating and so distracting, it's a wonder I and all the other drivers on the car-infested road made it anywhere at all in one piece. It made me wish I had my camera, although I realized it was too big to fit in a photo. Even a photo of one leg of it would have been pretty cool. It made me wish I was in a more rural area, where the view was not marred by buildings, wires, and road.

Aren't rainbows great? Almost everytime I am driving a car and can't stop, but one time in the Carribean (on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands), while sitting a beach, a offshore thunderstorm came up, and then a beautiful rainbow appeared. I got a photo somewhere, I'll try to find it and scan it.

Wow, that must have been amazing. Was it above the water? Definitely would enjoy seeing the picture.

Yay! I saw that one too, while walking out of the gym, the guy in front of me said "Whoa!" and pointed. It was a perfect rainbow, coming out of the clouds in the east, all the way across the sky, and ending up on the ground in the southwest. I ran home and tried to get a picture, but it'd gotten darker by then.

Yay, cool! I'm glad you saw it too. (: Bummer you also weren't able to photograph it though...

Good for you on going to the gym. Indian food for lunch today.
